TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Bend! I took a quick tour of the new BaseCamp food cart pod yesterday afternoon and the space is gonna be sweet. We’ll have a full update on their opening day plans in Friday’s newslettter.

In today’s Bend Buzz:

  • 🍚 Yoli food truck opens

  • 📦 Amazon distribution warehouse comes to Redmond

  • 💼 More local jobs

Let’s get to it.

— Derek Carlson & Emily Elaro

There's a plastic surgeon in Bend who wants to understand your goals before she ever talks about surgery

That's just how Dr. Jourdan Carboy works. At Alpenaura Plastic Surgery, every conversation starts with listening, because the right plan looks different for everyone. Whether you've been thinking about a breast augmentation, a mommy makeover, a lip lift, or something else entirely, Dr. Carboy takes the time to understand what you actually want and what's possible for your specific anatomy.

She's also been sharing that process openly on Instagram, walking through procedures, recovery, what to expect, and the questions worth asking before you ever set foot in a consultation room.

📱 Start by following @alpenauraplasticsurgery on Instagram, then reach out when you're ready to talk.

🖥️ Free Webinar: July 23rd at 5 PM

Curious about laser skin rejuvenation? Join Dr. Carboy for a free virtual event on UltraClear, the latest innovation for smoother, brighter skin with minimal downtime. All attendees receive 20% off UltraClear packages, and the first five people to book get a complimentary add-on treatment. Reserve your spot here →

🚚 Amazon distribution center opens

Tired of waiting a week or two for your alphabet soup widgets and doodads from Amazon? Those wait times should be a whole lot shorter now as the new Amazon distribution warehouse has opened in Redmond.

BUSINESS HAPPENINGS

🍢 Yoli opens a food truck: This is a very exciting bit of food news - partly because it’s one of my favorite restaurants in town and partly because this will be walking distance from my house. Yoli has opened up a food truck, and it is parked at Ballers & Brews! They moved in yesterday and are officially open for lunch and dinner.

🍕 New pizza food truck opens: And in other food truck news at Ballers & Brews, a new-to-Bend (at least to my knowledge) pizza truck called Calanchi has opened. Our kids had their cheese pizza over the weekend and seemed to really enjoy it. They are open for lunch and dinner every day except Tuesdays.

👗 Furry Freight Thrift Store opens: Bend has a new thrift store as Furry Freight Thrift has opened the doors at their location off of Greenwood Ave. In addition to having a huge selection of items to choose from, you can also rest easy knowing that proceeds are going towards Furry Freight, a nonprofit helping to save animals from shelters and finding their forever homes.

TOGETHER WITH FALLING LEAF TREE CARE

Now that we're into the thick of summer, you've probably noticed things getting a little wild out in the yard. Shrubs creeping over the walkway. Branches hanging lower than normal. And if the heat has your trees looking a little stressed, that's worth a look too.

Scott at Falling Leaf Tree Care can get your yard back into shape.

He's a licensed arborist who's been working around Bend for over 10 years, and he's the kind of guy who sweeps up after himself. He walks the yard with you first. Asks what's been bugging you. Then cuts with a plan instead of just hacking away. No job too small.

He's got openings this month and next. Give him a call for a free estimate.
