š§ šļø The witches paddle is back
It isnāt a Halloween in Bend without witches taking over the Deschutes. After some ambiguity about whether the event would take place, the Bend witches paddle is back and ready to scare the daylights out of any unsuspecting visitors wandering the river trail. Grab your SUPs and spookiest witch costume and hit the water for this very Bend-like tradition.

š§ A call for fixers: Next month, Rethink Waste and the Deschutes Library are hosting their final repair cafe of the year. While this event is still a ways off, they are putting out the call now for volunteers who have the skills to help repair everyday items. If you have repair skills with bikes, appliances, clothing, or anything else, consider volunteering to help keep otherwise repairable goods out of the landfill. You can apply to be a fixer here.
