BUSINESS HAPPENINGS
š Kenās Pizza has an opening date: Weāve been teased in the past with the proposed opening of a well-known Portland area restaurant cough Bamboo Sushi cough. But this time, itās really happening as Kenās Pizza officially has an opening date for their new downtown Bend location. Starting February 20th, youāll be able to enjoy their incredible pizza and market-fresh salads without having to drive over the pass. Woohoo!
šÆ A new Baja-style burrito spot is open: A few months ago, we covered the upcoming opening of Burrito Hooch - a new Baja-style burrito spot at the old Breakfast Club location off of Greenwood. As of two days ago, it is now officially open for business. They are open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
š Naughty pastry day at Sparrow Bakery: Every year on Valentineās Day, Sparrow Bakery whips up a āspecialā batch of pastries to celebrate this day of love, and this year is no exception. Swing by the outside tent for the NC-17-rated pastries, or head inside the bakery for their G-rated options.
Funny story - I took our 2 and 4-year-olds to Sparrow to pick up some G-rated pastries on Valentineās Day a few years ago. They, of course, asked what the tent was for, and I told them it was for the naughty donuts, and for years afterward, Sparrow was known to them as the naughty donut store.
