The Library of Things at Deschutes Public Library is a collection of nearly 200 items you can check out just like a book—from outdoor gear and cooking gadgets to crafting supplies, musical equipment, and a whole range of things just for kids. Whether you want to try something new before you buy, gear up for an adventure, or just have a little fun, there's something for every interest and every age. All you need is a library card! Another week and another bit of new road construction news. The intersection at 15th and Ferguson on the SE side of town will fully close until the fall for the construction of a new roundabout. Detours will be in place for the duration of the project.

🍩 Doughchi Bakery brings Asian inspired baked goods to Bend: Donuts and pastries are certainly having a moment lately, as we’ve seen several spots offering delicious twists on our favorite morning treats open (or prepare to open) over the last few months. And you can add DoughChi to the list; they’ve begun selling their Asian-inspired sourdough, mochi, and donuts with flavors like red bean, matcha, and black sesame. You can DM, order, or follow them on IG to stay up to date on coming pop-ups.

🪧 A pair of local businesses are for sale: Before I get into this one, I want to add the caveat that just because these businesses are listed for sale does not mean they are closed, closing soon, or will be undergoing any immediate changes. These things take time, and sometimes (like what happened with the Volcanic Theatre Pub), they decide not to sell at all. All that said, both Kefi Fresh and Bridge 99 Brewery showed up as for sale over the past week or so. There was some chatter on social media over these listings, and the owners of Kefi Fresh shared they were looking to spend more time with family and hoped that someone could step in and carry on what they had built.
