🚧 Road closures for roundabout construction in NE Bend

Starting next month, the intersection at Deschutes Market Road and Yeoman Road, next to Pine Nursery Park, will close for approximately four months while a new roundabout is constructed. Once complete, the now three-way intersection will host four roads as the Yeoman Road extension into the new Petrosa development to the east is under development.

BUSINESS HAPPENINGS

🫘 The Pantry has new owners: Cool story time! A while back, the Bend Buzz announced that the beloved west side mercantile/wine bar/gathering spot, The Pantry, was looking for new owners. Fast forward to yesterday, when I received an email from one of the new co-owners, Joel. He said that he had read the note about The Pantry being for sale, and it immediately struck a chord. Now the Pantry now has new owners (thanks to the Bend Buzz - just kidding) who are ready to usher it into the future.

Their first order of business is to add Sundays to the mix. So if you’re in the mood for a coffee, looking for a spot to hang out while your little ones play with the toy dinos, or need to refill your stash of dried mango, make sure to swing by this Sunday and offer congrats to the new owners!

🥎 Calling all softball players: Local 14U fastpitch softball team Crush Softball is looking for a few more talented players to round out their competitive travel team. Crush Softball is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing competitive softball opportunities to the Central Oregon community. Run entirely by a passionate team of volunteers, their program fosters growth both on and off the field, emphasizing teamwork, skill development, and community engagement. Contact them at [email protected] to set up a time for your player to practice with them.
