The Sunriver Music Festival returns with its usual impressive lineup of music starting tonight. The events take place over the next 10 days in both Sunriver and Bend, and a number of the shows still have tickets available (including the Pops Concert, which always sells out fast!). Here is the full lineup for the week+ ahead:

I’m gonna go ahead and assume I wasn’t alone in getting a blaringly loud emergency alert on Friday. As someone who has had their phone on silent for at least the past three years its good to know that it still can ring (loudly) when necessary! For those who missed it, a fire broke out south of town in a heavily recreated area, so the county sent out an evacuation alert for the area to all of Deschutes County. All is good now, and the fire was quickly brought under control. Only a few more months until the fall rains return…(sorry, summer lovers).

👻 Spooky season arriving: Fall is just around the corner, and that means that its time for Spirit Halloween to rise from the dead and take over a vacant storefront somewhere around town. This year’s location is at Elevation Bend (formerly the Bend Outlet Mall) in the space next to Carter’s.

🍔 Bend could finally be getting a new burger spot: Good news for burger lovers around town, as Bend could finally be getting a new burger spot. According to permits on file with the city, it looks like Habit Burger may be moving into the space previously occupied by Super Deluxe. No word yet on when they may be opening.
