☀️ Summer is in full swing

Big events across the high desert, anniversary parties galore, and more from a busy weekend in Central Oregon

TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Bend! Quick editor’s note before we get started. Next week, there will only be two editions of the Bend Buzz. That way, we can all spend more time watching the pet parade. So look for all the weekend and 4th of July fun in Wednesday’s email.

In today’s Bend Buzz:

  • 🪕 Big Ponderoo takes the stage in Sisters

  • 🎉 Anniversary parties at Dakota’s Brick Shop & Synergy Ceramics

  • 🍺 Deschutes Brewery knows how to party

Let’s get to it.

Is the Window Quietly Starting to Shift?

After five intense months of seller activity in Bend, June brought a surprise: new listings dropped nearly 26%, just as buyers began to re-engage.

While it’s still technically a buyer’s market, that sharp drop in supply may have been the reset that kept things from tipping too far. And if buyer momentum continues at even a modest pace, we could start seeing leverage quietly shift back toward sellers later this summer.

What does that mean for you? That depends on what you're watching for.

➡️ If you're waiting for a big change to make your move, you might already be in it.
➡️ If you're trying to time the market, you may be better off learning its rhythm instead.

Explore the latest numbers and see what’s shifting beneath the surface, because in Bend’s market, the moves that matter most rarely make headlines. If you're thinking about making a move this year and want a guide who can talk through achieving your goals in this market, let’s chat

🌲 Big Ponderoo kicks off in Sisters

It's a busy weekend around Central Oregon with the Overland Expo in Redmond, the Crooked River Roundup in Prineville, and for music fans, Big Ponderoo in Sisters. Big Ponderoo kicks off on Friday with a free community celebration event before getting into the full music schedule on Saturday and Sunday. With two stages, there is plenty of space to wander around and catch your favorite (or new to you) bluegrass and Americana bands.

🚲️ Mt. Bachelor to allow Class 1 e-bikes on select trails

Like it or not, changes are coming regarding e-bike usage on trails around Central Oregon. For the 2025 summer season, Mt. Bachelor announced they are allowing Class 1 e-bikes (bikes that only have pedal-assist) on downhill bike trails served by Little Pine and Pine Marten chair lifts.

☕️ Last call for the Monday morning dance party

Join us at The Pantry on Monday morning at 9 AM for an hour of coffee and dancing with the folks at Reti Radio silent disco. There are still some tickets available, and all proceeds from the event go back to both of these fun local businesses (I’m just here to help spread the vibes).
