🏂️ BPRD summer camps open up on Monday
📣 Attention parents 📣 Registration for summer camps through Bend Park and Rec opens up on Monday at 6 AM. The summer playlist is out, so you can start scouring the Operation Recreation schedules and all the other summer programs on the list. This signup is a two-day event, with all land-based happenings taking place on Monday and everything aquatic-related taking place on Tuesday.

⛷️ Local bid for Mt. Bachelor falls flat
For those hoping that Mt. Bachelor would become a locally owned resort with cheap lift tickets, those dreams are out. Mt. Bachelor Community Inc., the group behind the effort to purchase the ski area, announced that they were unable to submit a formal bid by the deadline. There is no word yet on who the eventual buyer of the ski area may be.

🎥 Free showing of Tangled: Bring the kids for a FREE movie night at the Tower Theatre, where they will be showing Tangled. Don’t worry if tickets sell out, as they will be offering up any unfilled seats to folks in line. 6 PM Tower Theatre
🎭️ The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe: Meadow Sky Productions is kicking off their performances of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe at the High Desert Music Hall in Redmond. There are performances on Friday & Saturday as well as next weekend.
🔬 Children’s Museum at the library: The Children’s Museum pop-up exhibits will be at the brand new Redmond Library (this is a great excuse to check out this amazing new space). The event is free! 9:30 - 11 AM Redmond Library
🇮🇪 A reading of Irelandish: Come to the Downtown Bend Library to hear from author Jana Zvibleman as she reads some passages from her book Irelandish. The event will also include live Irish music. 2 - 3:30 PM Downtown Bend Library

We get a lot of requests to help promote events that fall outside of our normal schedule, but we didn’t really have a spot for them before.
So, to help fix that, we’re rolling out a new section to help folks spread the word about their upcoming events that are happening a little further out than the next 3 or 4 days. Have a brewfest, comedy show, trail race, or concert you want to promote? This is your spot!
