💘 Last Minute Valentine’s Day Ideas
Forgot to make that reservation for a romantic dinner on Valentine’s Day? Have no fear! There are plenty of options still available to make the day of love a success! Here are some last-minute ideas that don’t involve an overpriced prix fixe menu.
Ski to a hut - Pack a snack and ski or snowshoe to one of the area’s backcountry warming huts for a romantic evening by the fire.
Go for a soak - What’s more romantic than soaking in a hot tub…followed by a dip in a 40-degree cold plunge pool? Book a session at Flux for an evening of tea and relaxation.
Order a heart-shaped charcuterie board - Want a low-key meal at home with friends or loved ones? Order a heart-shaped charcuterie board from Wild Petals Provisions.
Watch the sunset from Pilot Butte - Pack a picnic (or a charcuterie board from Wild Petals) and hike to the top of the butte for a romantic sunset picnic.
COGA parents’ night out - Drop the kids off at COGA for an extended parents’ night out open play while you head out for an evening on the town.
Hit the courts - Call up your pickleball-playing besties and reserve a court at Ballers & Brews for an evening of food, pickleball, and, of course, a refreshing beverage or two.
Moonlight Ski Concert - Head up to Bachelor for a special Valentine’s Day edition of piano flow live with pianist Paula Dreyer.
❄ Snow Finally Returns to the Mountains
After the winter season we’ve had, I wouldn’t be surprised if more folks in Bend spent yesterday evening watching the snow stake cam than the Super Bowl (congrats to the Seahawks fans out there). Snow has FINALLY returned to the mountains with Bachelor picking up a decent amount to cover up all those bare spots on the slopes. Things aren’t quite as rosy at Meissner as they have decided to suspend grooming until they get some more snow. So hopefully we wake up to a few new inches there this morning!
BUSINESS HAPPENINGS
🥯 Haven Bagels is coming to the west side: This one has sat on the back burner for a week or two, as our newsletters lately have been shockingly full. But now we have the space to share. Haven Bagels, which is currently located at Reed Market and 27th, will be opening a new west side location later this year. It will be located off of Century Dr next to Terava apartments.
