🍽️ Dinner Club is a Go!
Wow! Support for the dinner club was off the charts! We’ve been plugging away over the weekend to get everything set up and will be hosting the first event next month. If it's a hit, then we’ll make this a monthly shindig.
Here’s how it works:
🍽️ Take a quick quiz about your personality, interests, and food preferences.
✨ Get paired with five other Bendites who match your vibe — including dietary needs, budget, and life stage.
📍 Your table of six meets for dinner on Wednesday, December 10 at 6:00 PM, and the restaurant is revealed that morning.
🥂 After dinner, all groups are invited to a casual meetup at a local watering hole.
Want in? Sign up here to get started.
Note that this event works best for individuals. If there is enough interest in dinners for couples, then we’ll work on adding that as an option in January.
🎅 Santa Arrives at the Old Mill
It’s that time of year again when jolly old Saint Nick arrives at the Old Mill by helicopter. Want to get in on the fun? Grab a warm beverage, then make your way over to the west event lawn at 10 AM on Friday for Santa’s arrival by Airlink Helicopter. Afterwards, the big guy himself will be making his way to SantaLand (above LUSH), where your little ones can ask for their favorite gifts like an official Red Ryder carbine-action two-hundred-shot range model air rifle (or a football).
⛷️ Opening Day at Bachelor Pushed Back
Looks like there won’t be any Thanksgiving weekend skiing this year, as Mt. Bachelor announced on Friday that it would push its opening day back. They said they need ~ 24” at the base to safely open, and the snow stake currently sits at just 2”. Mother nature has some work to do!
BUSINESS HAPPENINGS
☕️ Junction Roastery opens on the east side: We hinted last week that the new Blackstrap Campus at SE Wilson and 9th was getting a coffee shop soon. Well, today is that day as Junction Roastery is opening the doors to its first Bend location (their original location is in Redmond). Cheers to some tasty new coffee on the SE side of town!
🍷 Flights Wine Bar 4-Year Anniversary: Flights Wine Bar is celebrating four years in business with a party on Saturday, November 29th! So ditch the in-laws (or bring them along) and join in on the fun with raffles, discounts, blind tastings, and more! Saturday at Flights Wine Bar
🫖 One-year anniversary at Camp Clay: Join in on another round of anniversary fun on Saturday with Camp Clay’s one-year anniversary party. There will be shared food, music, dancing, and an evening of good old-fashioned fun. Saturday 5 - 8 PM at Camp Clay
🐶 New Dog Daycare in Bend: Need a spot for your pup to hang out during a long day at work (or a long day in the mountains)? Mountain Dog Pet Resort has officially opened the doors to their brand new doggy daycare space in SE Bend. Right now, they’re only open for day care, but fear not, jetsetters, as boarding options will open up in 2026.
