🛣️ City gets $32 million for Reed Crossing
Tired of getting stuck in traffic while a train slooooowly creeps across Reed Market Rd during rush hour? Those days may be numbered as the city has received $32 million from the federal government to construct a crossing over the tracks. If all goes according to plan, construction should begin in 2027.
BUSINESS HAPPENINGS
🛝 Play Society Bend opens: A new indoor play place for the littlest of littles (that would be 0 - 5 year olds) opened yesterday on Bend’s west side. Play Society is a Montessori-inspired play space where your little ones’ imaginations can run wild while they get their squiggles out.
🏗️ Pine Shed food trucks open on Wednesday: Bend’s newest food cart pod, which will be anchored by Dogwood at the Pine Shed, is officially opening for business on Wednesday, January 15th! The food carts include Dinky Dau, The Dominican, Kook’i, Red Beard BBQ, SOPA, & ‘Wich Doctor Sandwich Co. Dogwood isn’t quite ready to fully open yet, but they will be slinging NA cocktails and beverages to celebrate.
🏪 South side grocery story closing their doors: The Brookswood Meadow Plaza on the Southwest side of town is losing its anchor tenant as C.E. Lovejoy’s is closing their doors for good next month. There is no word yet on what may take its place.
