SPONSORED BY MOUNTAIN DOGS
Planning a Spring Break trip, but not sure what to do with your pup? Mountain Dogs still has boarding & daycare availability for that week.
Owner Dave Liedman started Mountain Dogs with his own dog Koko, building the kind of place he’d want for his pup: safe, social, and genuinely cared for. Before boarding, dogs complete a quick daycare evaluation, giving them a chance to meet the pack, explore the space, and make sure it’s a great fit.
One thing that sets Mountain Dogs apart from many local options: there’s always an overnight staff member on-site with the dogs. No empty buildings and no pups left alone overnight.
They’re also now offering professional grooming on Fridays, making it easy to keep your dog looking sharp.

🚵♀ New Mountain Bike Trails at Cline Butte
COTA has completed its work on 11+ miles of new mountain bike trails at Cline Butte. The two-year project involved rerouting trails to public land, building two new climbing trails, and connecting the Cline Butte trail network to the Cascade View trails. This is a great spot for winter riding as, despite our warm weather, the west Bend trails still aren’t quite ready for prime time.
🏋 Juniper Fitness Center is Getting a Makeover
Heads up to folks who like to get their sweat on at Juniper. The fitness center, group exercise studio, and cycle studio will be closed from March 12th - 22nd for some upgrades. These areas will be getting new flooring and weight machines.
🍽 Next Dinner Club Incoming
This month’s Dinner Club night is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to get you out there meeting new folks over great food.
Here’s how it works:
Take a quick quiz — tell us your interests, food preferences, and vibe.
Get matched with 5 people who are heading to dinner with you.
Restaurant details arrive the morning of dinner — we handle the mystery so you don’t have to.
Meet for dinner, then if you’re up for it, join the optional after-party.
The details:
💵 $16 to save your seat.
🍽️ You pay for your meal.
🎉 We handle the rest.
If you haven’t saved your spot yet, now’s the time. The dinner happens next week on March 12th, at 6 PM, and you can grab your seat here.
BUSINESS HAPPENINGS
🎉 Grand Opening party for Cross Country Mortgage: Mortgage rates had a brief moment in the sun as they dipped below 6% last week. To celebrate, Cross Country Mortgage is throwing a party. Ok, so they’re not throwing a party to celebrate 5% mortgage rates, but they are throwing a party to celebrate opening their new office next to the Box Factory, and you’re invited. Stop by to enjoy some food and drinks and check out the new digs (I’ve been in there before, and it is a nice space!).
🥪 Schmakerz joins Ballers & Brews: Over the weekend, we bid farewell to 5th St Bagels from the Ballers & Brews food cart pod, and this week, we say hello to their new addition. Schmakerz, previously located at LOGE (speaking of which, it sounds like the behind-the-scenes at that company was a far bigger disaster than anyone realized), has moved into the pod and will be serving up their hot-sealed sandwiches (think UnCrustables but way, way tastier).
