📚️ The Sunriver Library is open
After ten months of construction, the Sunriver Library will swing its doors open to the public on Tuesday. Visitors can stop by to check out the new and improved space which includes public meeting rooms, a children’s discovery area, and a cozy fireplace that will be perfect on cold winter days.

🥯 Southeast Bend has a new bagel shop
The much-anticipated brick-and-mortar shop for Haven Bagels + Coffee opened its doors this past weekend for a grand opening celebration. Now, residents of Southeast Bend have a new spot for coffee, bagels, and pastries. 61579 Southwest 27th Ave
🥑 Two new food carts land at Ponch’s Place
Northeast Bend’s favorite vet clinic/food cart pod has two new entries in its dining lineup. Ponch’s Place welcomed On a Wing and a Crepe and Wrapstar to the lot, which already included Carmelitas and Sweet Herb. They are hosting a meet the vet trivia night on Thursday so head on over to check out the new offerings. 62889 NE Oxford Ct

📽️ Encanto at Tower Theatre: If movies in the park run too late, then head downtown for a 6 PM showing of Encanto. This showing is sensory-inclusive, which means it is played at a lower volume and has sensory bags and quiet spaces available upon request. 6 PM Tower Theatre

🧺 Downtown farmers market: Swing by downtown Bend as the farmers markets are still going strong. We’re loving that melons, peaches, and all kinds of other late-summer fruits and veggies are starting to show up. 11 AM - 3 PM Brooks St
⚪️ Hone your pickleball skills: Juniper Preserve is hosting beginner-level pickleball classes designed to help you master the basic skills and techniques required to hold your own on the means streets of the Pine Nursery courts. 9 - 10:30 AM Juniper Preserve

🌲 Surround yourself with nature: The Deschutes Library is hosting a guided forest bath at Shevlin Park, and you are invited. Missie Wikler, a certified forest therapy guide, will be leading the event designed to connect you with nature and feed the soul. Advanced registration is required 2 - 3 PM Shevlin Park

Did you know that pickleball is America’s fastest-growing sport?!? Of course you did, because whenever anyone mentions pickleball, they have to throw in that little factoid.
Luckily, Bend is blessed with an impressive selection of pickleball courts where you can hone your groundstrokes and lobs (I most certainly did not have to turn to Google to look up that pickleball terminology…)
