⛷️ Buzz grows for Mt. Bachelor ownership

Buzz continues to grow for a community ownership option of Mt. Bachelor. In recent weeks, the team behind the project has set up a website and a GoFundMe to help pay for initial expenses like legal fees, insurance, and a kick-off party that will take place in October. There will be a lot more to come but it has been encouraging to see so much community support for this initiative.

🎿 Ski swap consignment deadline

The annual MBSEF Ski Swap always draws huge crowds hoping to score a deal on a new (to them) set of skis, snowboards, boots, and more. If you have gear you’d like to consign at the event, the deadline to register it through their online portal is Monday, October 7th at 10 PM. All registered gear can be dropped off at the Pavilion starting October 10th, with the event taking place October 11 & 12.

BEND OUTDOOR REPORT

⛳️ COCC disc golf course reopens: Longtime high desert disc golfers probably have fond memories of the old disc golf course that wound its way through the trees on the COCC campus. And now, after a 10-year break, a new 9-hole course has opened again to satiate the needs of west-side throwers. A course map can be found here.

🏂️ Last chance to save $100: If you’re still on the fence about buying a season pass at Mt. Bachelor, then you have until tomorrow until the prices tick up another $100. The flurries have been flying (although not this week 🥵), and the stoke is high for another good snow year on the mountain.

🚵 Last FTW ride of the year: Local bike shop Between Evergreens is hosting their last FTW (Femme/Trans/Women) ride of the season. The ride is free to attend and open to all skill levels.
