Good morning, Bend! It’s not feeling much like winter outside right now but that isn’t stopping the holiday markets from getting underway. We’re still two weeks from publishing our shop local guide but don’t let that stop you from heading out and supporting some local artists around town this weekend!
In today’s Bend Buzz:

📚️ East Bend Library Closes
It’s time to officially say goodbye to the East Bend Library. Their temporary space became a not so temporary space since it opened in 2011 but now its time to officially begin the transition to the new Central Library (even though it won’t be open until late spring). The East Bend Library closes for good on Saturday so if you want to pick up a hold, drop off a book, or do anything else library related you’ll need to head to their downtown location.
BUSINESS HAPPENINGS
🍖 Pops Southern BBQ to close: BBQ food truck Pops Southern BBQ announced on Instagram that they will be closing for good on November 26th. If you want to get your BBQ fix, you can find them at their home at Ponch’s Place for the next couple of weeks.
🎸 Breedlove Guitar fall warehouse sale: Musicians, get your wallets ready. Local guitar maker Breedlove Guitars is hosting their fall warehouse sale on Saturday from 10 AM - 2 PM. This is your chance to pick up your first guitar on the cheap or splurge (while still saving a few bucks) on that holiday gift for yourself. The sale takes place at 61573 American Loop.
☕️ West side WildRoots Coffeehouse is open: We’re not usually ones to miss out on the opening of a new coffee shop (90% of our daily water consumption comes from coffee), but we’re a week late on this one! WildRoots Coffeehouse has opened their new west side location in the Shevlin Crossing Complex. Their eastside spot made a mean latte so we’re excited to check this location out!
