ā¤ļø Local Family Needs Your Help

A Bend family needs your help, as local family doctor Will Speed was hit by a car that ran a red light while riding his bike home. Will is a husband, father, and volunteer for Oregon Adaptive Sports, and the outreach that I have received on Instagram asking to help spread the word tells me the impact that he has had on this community. He is currently hospitalized with a traumatic brain injury, among other injuries, and likely has a long road ahead. If you would like to help support his family during his recovery, you can donate to their GoFundMe here.

šŸŽæ Keep Track of Grooming at Elk Lake

Elk Lake Resort added a brand new snow cat this winter, and now you can keep tabs on what trails they’ve groomed right from your phone, as they have signed up for Nordic Pulse. Nordic Pulse is a website/app used by cross-country ski areas to provide real-time updates on trail grooming. So now you can see if the Cascade Lakes Highway and loop around Elk Lake have a fresh bed of corduroy before you make your way up the hill.

šŸ» Pickleball Meetup Reminder

Thank you to everyone who has RSVP’d for our pickleball meetup at Ballers & Brews on Wednesday at 5 PM. So far we’re at 70 folks (although, if last time is any indication, I wouldn’t expect everyone to show up…so no worries if you said yes but can’t make it). Just a reminder that the courts will be open from 5 - 7 PM and there will be balls and paddles provided. Austin Buskohl will also be there and hooking everyone up with their first beverage.

BUSINESS HAPPENINGS

🚐 RendezVan Camping passes go on sale this week: Mark your calendar as camping passes for Mt Bachelor’s RendezVan go on sale on Wednesday at noon, sharp. These passes always sell out quickly, hence why I’m giving a little extra heads up, so if you’re on the fence, then you’ve got a couple of days to pick a direction.
