🎅 Christmas parade and tree lighting ceremony

The holidays will be in full swing in downtown Bend this weekend. The official tree lighting ceremony takes place on Friday evening from 4 to 7 PM outside of The Commons along Brooks Alley.

That is followed up by the Christmas parade, which takes place on Saturday at noon. The parade route runs along Newport Ave before passing through downtown and along Drake Park. Come for the Santa sighting, but stay for the always-entertaining Raiders float.

BUSINESS HAPPENINGS

🫙 The pantry is up for sale: The Pantry, a beloved bulk goods/wine bar/gathering spot, is up for sale. The next buyer will get everything they need to keep the store running as is or add their own twist on this community favorite.

🎸 Breedlove Guitars warehouse sale: Local guitar maker Breedlove Guitars is holding a holiday warehouse sale where you can score some sweet deals on that perfect beginner guitar or another acoustic gem to add to your quiver. The sale takes place at their warehouse from 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, December 7th. 61573 American Loop

🍖 Terranaut Brewing lands a food truck: Bend’s newest brewery has added a food option to its outstanding beer lineup with The Landing food truck. The truck will be serving BBQ dishes, which are very much needed in the Bend culinary landscape.

💰️What the Dickens!: Bend isn’t the only spot to catch a Christmas play this holiday season. Sisters is playing host to What the Dickens: A Christmas Carol for Any Scrooge. This humorous take on the holiday classic is definitely worth the drive. Showings all weekend @ Sisters Middle School

🖊️ Stranger drawings: This free workshop at the downtown Bend Library will help you discover the connection between drawing and writing. At the end you’ll leave with a handmade booklet that should help inspire creativity going forward. 10 AM Downtown Bend Library
