TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Bend! Thanks to everyone who signed up as a host for Meet Your Neighbors! I’m attempting to work a little magic on my end so folks can instantly create their own invites (for any date they choose) so we can host these whenever works for you.

In today’s Bend Buzz:

  • 🎨 Time for First Friday 🍜

  • 🪡 Fashion Workshop grand opening

  • 🍚 Korean BBQ popup

Let’s get to it.

Three Questions to Ask If Your Home Isn't Selling

1. Can buyers find my home?

These days, getting your home in front of buyers usually isn't the hard part. Between the MLS, Zillow, social media, and paid advertising, visibility is rarely the issue.

2. Are buyers choosing to see my home?

If buyers can find it but aren't scheduling private showings or stopping by open houses, there's a disconnect between finding your home and wanting to see it.

3. Are buyers writing offers?

If buyers are touring your home but not making offers, they're telling you something. In most cases, they're not seeing enough value for the price being asked.

It can be a challenging market for sellers right now. But homes that successfully move buyers through the Find It → See It → Buy It process are still selling quickly.

The homes selling quickly aren't getting lucky. They're getting the process right. If you're thinking about selling this year, let's make sure yours does too.

🛍 First Friday at the Old Mill & Downtown Bend

It’s time for the last First Friday of the summer (although I guess we can count September’s as summer as well, with this year’s very late Labor Day). Hopefully, the smoke clears out so we can all enjoy the usual festivities at the Old Mill (3 - 6 PM and downtown Bend (5 - 8 PM).

Want to take in a couple extra FF events? The Open Arts Center will be hosting the Rachel Binah Gallery dedication art show opening, and The Commons Cafe will be hosting their usual block party from 6:30 - 8:30 PM with an evening of live music and dancing.

BUSINESS HAPPENINGS

🪡 Fashion Workshop grand opening: Fashion Workshop is celebrating the opening of their downtown studio with a grand opening party. Swing by on Saturday from 10 AM - 4 PM to check out the space, donate some unused fabric, or buy some new (to you) fabric to help support their free sewing programs.

🍚 Korean BBQ Popup: Discovery West is hosting another summer of global eats popups, and one of last year’s most popular vendors, Soos Korean BBQ (we tried their food last year and it was delicious!), is returning on Friday and Saturday evening from 5 - 7 PM. Even better, 100% of proceeds from Soos on Friday, August 7, will be donated to support Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs families who lost their homes in the recent wildfires.

🛒 Local Acres 41st anniversary: Local Acres (our favorite grocery store in town #notsponsored) is holding their annual anniversary event this weekend. Local businesses will be on hand Fri - Sun to give out samples, so check out the full schedule here and swing by for some treats and to score some deals.

TOGETHER WITH SOUTHSIDE PHYSICAL THERAPY

So many women spend years working around leaks, pain, pressure, or discomfort, assuming it's just part of being a woman, having kids, or getting older. It's not. And it's treatable.

Southside Physical Therapy's pelvic floor program is a hands-on, evidence-based approach to get you back to the trails, the river, the gym, or wherever you feel most like yourself. Your first visit isn't rushed and isn't generic. It's a full hour spent understanding your history, goals, and experiences, followed by a plan built around you.
