SPONSORED BY RETHINK WASTE
Did you know that our consumption is responsible for half of our greenhouse gas emissions? Or that Central Oregon’s Knott Landfill is close to full? Have you heard contradictory things about what can be recycled and whether it even matters?
This July, Oregon began modernizing its recycling system, and became the first state to make producers responsible for their packaging. Are you wondering what’s changed or what is about to change?
At our 4th annual America Recycles Day virtual event on Tues, November 18th (6-7:30pm), come get all these questions answered and learn how you can be more sustainable.
As you will learn at the event, while recycling is helpful, repairing is even better. Come join us for our next Repair Cafe next Thurs, Nov 13th 5-7pm at COCC’s Redmond Campus.
Lastly, as we approach the holiday season, did you know we create 25% more waste then? Learn more on how to sustainably celebrate the holidays and sign up for our newsletter to receive relevant updates throughout the year.

🍻 Pickleball Meetup Reminder
Want to join us next Wednesday evening to check out the new Ballers & Brews space and play a little (free) pickleball? We’re already at 46 RSVPs, but still have room for a few more! We’ll be there, officially, from 5 - 7 PM on Wednesday, November 12th, but a little birdie told me the courts might be open a little earlier 🤫 RSVP here to grab your spot.
🎶 Changes Coming to A Downtown Parking Lot?
The City is proposing some changes to the downtown parking lot tucked between The Commons and Watershed Coffee Roasters (former Looney Bean). These would include resurfacing the lot, adding restrooms, and adding a stage. While the lot would remain a parking lot for the majority of the year, the changes would allow it to transform into a multi-use plaza space during special events.

TOGETHER WITH FLAWLESS FIBERS

Flawless Fibers – A Smarter Way to Clean Carpets & Upholstery in Bend
Hey, Central Oregon! I'm Richard Berry, owner of Flawless Fibers. With the holidays approaching, now's the perfect time to prepare your home for family and guests—and to think differently about carpet care.
Why Low-Moisture Beats Steam Cleaning
Traditional steam cleaning drenches carpets with gallons of soap and water, leaving sticky residue that attracts dirt. Our five-step low-moisture system lifts out dirt, pet stains, and allergens while balancing pH so your carpets stay cleaner longer. No soggy floors, no leftover grime.
Protect Your Home, Not Just Your Carpets
Regular low-moisture cleaning keeps carpets fresh between deep cleans, reduces allergens, and helps everyone breathe easier—all without the risk of mold or mildew from over-wet carpets.
Eco-friendly, hypoallergenic, and non-toxic, our process protects your floors and your air quality. We take the time to do it right—no shortcuts, no soaps, no soggy mess.
✨ Eco-friendly, hypoallergenic, biodegradable & non-toxic
