🍂 Fall Fest is Here

Fall Fest takes over downtown, a pair of Halloween costume swaps, and don't forget to register for the ski swap

TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Bend! I hope you all are able to find the perfect spooky costume at the swaps this weekend.

In today’s Bend Buzz:

  • 🍂 Fall Fest takes over downtown

  • 👻 A pair of costume swaps

  • 🎿 Don’t forget to register for the ski swap

Let’s get to it.

— Emily Randolph & Derek Carlson

Earlier this week, someone asked me:
“Where do you see the market going and when may be a good time to buy or sell in the next few years?”

I love questions like this.

While the second part depends on your personal goals, the first one? That’s where things get fun.

The market doesn’t move randomly. It reacts to interest rates, buyer demand, inventory levels, and local confidence. The patterns aren’t always obvious from headlines, but they are there.

And right now? We’re seeing some of those patterns already take shape.

If you've got questions, odds are someone else does too. I’m always happy to share what I’m seeing behind the scenes. No pressure, just real insight.

🍁 Fall Festival is here!

Fun little behind-the-scenes nugget before we get into the good stuff. One of the reasons I started the Bend Buzz was because we somehow missed the Fall Festival two years in a row. Even though information about it was plastered literally everywhere, we still forgot about it when the weekend finally arrived, and I figured there had to be a better way to get that information out to the masses. And now the rest is history…

Fall Festival! For three days, downtown Bend is transformed into a stage for live music, kids’ fun, art, a harvest market, food carts, tasty beverages, and more! Add in First Friday, Fresh Hops on the Pond, and everything else happening, and we have a pretty epic weekend ahead.

Friday night will feature food and live music, while Saturday and Sunday’s festivities include the kids’ art zone, play area, art booths, business showcase, music, food, and harvest market.

🍷 First Friday - October Edition

To really amp up the fun on Friday evening, it is also first Friday at the Old Mill and downtown Bend. First Friday runs from 3 - 6 PM at the Old Mill (don’t forget the upstairs galleries!) while the downtown fun takes place from 5 - 8 PM. Don’t miss the block party at The Commons kicking off at 6:30 PM and featuring live music from the Silverton Devils.

🎿 MBSEF Ski Swap Dropoff Deadline

There is snow on the mountains, so it’s time to start gearing up for this year’s ski season. One of the best ways to grab some new (to you) gear and support a good local cause is at the MBSEF ski swap that takes place every year at The Pavilion. If you want to include your gear in the swap, the deadline to register your gear is Monday, October 6th! Gear dropoff takes place on October 9th & 10th with the ski swap happening on the 10th & 11th.

P.S. Want in on the pre-sale party to get the pick of the litter? You can buy tickets here.
