🚧 Olney and Wall intersection closure

I considered saving this for Monday’s newsletter, but figured you all might appreciate a bit more of a heads-up. The intersection at Olney and Wall will be closed for construction work Monday through Wednesday of next week (Oct 27 - 29). Luckily, this will be a much, much shorter closure than last time around, but be prepared for some backups along Newport/Greenwood Ave as more folks have to detour around the closure.

BUSINESS HAPPENINGS

🤠 El Sancho announces a closing date for its west-side location: Sad news for fans of El Sancho who don’t want to make the drive over the east side (you know who you are). El Sancho has announced that Saturday, October 25th, will be the last day for their Galveston Ave location. If you missed the news, they will be renovating the restaurant and reopening as Runaround Sue, a Texas-style BBQ restaurant.

🌮 The Lost Texan food cart closing: One Tex-Mex themed food cart opens (Wandering Ranchero) and another one closes as The Lost Texan’s last day will be Saturday, October 25th. No word yet on which cart will be moving into their space at Crosscut.

🏢 Jackstraw grand opening and fall fest: Jackstraw is hosting a fall festival party to celebrate their grand opening. The festivities will take place along Lava Pass (that’s the road between the Box Factory and Jackstraw) and will include live music, pumpkins, face painting, axe throwing, and complimentary drinks. 12 - 4 PM 310 SW Industrial Way
