Little Woody Beer Fest, a new furniture store opens, and it turns out Bendites really don't like smoke
Good morning, Bend! I recently asked a question over on Instagram about which two things you’d pick out of a list, and a smoke-free summer was the favorite by a seemingly large margin (I didn’t actually add up the results 🙈).
I thought it’d be fun to ask the same question here so make sure to scroll to the bottom of the email and add your response to which things you’d pick that would make Bend your own personal utopia.
In today’s Bend Buzz:

🍺 Bend’s folksiest little beer fest
The Little Woody Beer Fest kicks off at the Deschutes Historical Museum on Friday. In addition to getting to sample a plethora of amazing beers, the festival also affords you the opportunity to dress up as a gnome. Win-win! With two days of fun, there is no reason not to spend part of your weekend with a collection of the best gnomes in town. Friday 5 PM - 10 PM & Saturday 12 - 10 PM
BUSINESS HAPPENINGS
🛋️ Scandinavian style in the high desert
Scandinavian furniture is about to take over Bend. Dania, the modern, mid-century, and Scandinavian furniture store, has moved into the space at Cascade Village previously occupied by Bed, Bath, and Beyond. The store unofficially opened on August 16th and will hold their grand opening celebration next month.
🎂 Anthropologie turns one
It’s hard to believe that Anthropologie is already turning one, but here we are! Head down to the Old Mill District for a very boho birthday party with treats from Brown Bag Popcorn, flowers from Eryn Blooming, and wine from Evoke.
