šŸŒ™ Dance the night away

Cascade Equinox Fest kicks off, Boss Rambler says goodbye, and Ballers & Brews prepares to open

TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Bend! I keep thinking these weekends are going to slow down, but so far that hasn’t happened! We have another jam-packed schedule again, so plan your time wisely.

In today’s Bend Buzz:

  • šŸŒ™ Cascade Equinox comes to the fairgrounds

  • šŸ— A new food cart pod/pickleball court opens

  • šŸŗ Boss Rambler closes their doors for good

Let’s get to it.

Fed Cut Rates. Now What?

In case you missed it, the Federal Reserve officially cut rates yesterday by 0.25%.
But mortgage rates? They didn’t move. That’s because the market already adjusted ahead of the announcement and is now reacting to what’s next, not what’s already happened.

What matters locally is this:

  • The number of new listings continues to shrink week by week.

  • Buyer activity, although still present, has started to cool. And that’s happening even with rates sitting in the best range we’ve seen in over a year.

If your current home is starting to feel like the wrong fit—whether it’s too small, too big, or just not working anymore—this moment still offers unique advantages. Trying to time the market perfectly is a gamble. If 2025 follows a similar path to 2024, this window of opportunity may begin to close by the end of the month.

And for those who enjoy a good home tour, this one’s worth a look šŸ‘‡ļø

This beautiful property, located just outside Sisters on Hawksflight Drive, features one of the best views in the area. It’s a great reminder of how thoughtful design and standout location always make an impression.

SNAPSHOTS

A three-day celebration of music, art, and community featuring diverse headliners, immersive art installations, workshops, and late-night dance parties. A full-spectrum festival experience where locals and travelers alike gather to welcome the changing seasons. Come for a day or pack a tent and make a weekend of it as the music goes deep (way past my bedtime!) into the night.

āš™ļø Children’s Museum Website Launch

The Children’s Museum of Central Oregon just launched a brand new website as they push toward their goal of bringing a state-of-the-art children’s museum to the region. If you have little ones and haven’t attended one of their pop-up events that happen throughout the region, I highly recommend it! (In fact, there’s one this weekend at Hearts Unknown Education.)

On their new site, you can keep up to date on upcoming events, news, and learn how you can help support their mission (you can even catch a brief cameo from one of my little ones in the homepage video).
