🗳️CET launches a new bus route

Cascades East Transit is launching a new pilot route today that will make it easier for folks to get from NE Bend and Hawthorne Station to the Cascade Village Shopping Center. The new route will be known as Route 8 and will include stops along Cooley Rd, Empire, 18th St, Brinson Blvd, and Boyd Acres before heading to Hawthorne Station and the shopping center. BUSINESS HAPPENINGS

🤝 Paulina Lake Lodge has new owners: It’s been a big year for remote lodges changing hands around the high desert, with Elk Lake Lodge and now Paulina Lake Lodge passing the reins on to new owners. The lodge’s new owners pledge to keep the rustic charm in place while making some upgrades, including more dining, recreation, and lodging options.

🍕 Blind Tiger closes their food cart at Crux: If your kid’s favorite summer activity is to run around on the lawn at Crux and munch on slices of pizza, then you’d better sit them down before breaking this news to them. Blind Tiger announced they are closing their pizza cart. There is no word yet on whether another pizza option will pick up the slack.

🎉 Portello’s Anniversary Fest: Portello Wine & Spirits is celebrating its one-year anniversary with an entire week of celebrations. Expect live music, bingo, retro parties, and more. If you want to stop by, make sure to check out the full schedule of events on their website.
