TOGETHER WITH
Good morning, Bend! It’s hard to believe, but we’re already down to our last few weekends of summer (although we all know that September weekends in Bend are the best of all weekends…as long as the smoke stays away). Luckily, there is no shortage of things to do these next few days!
In today’s Bend Buzz:
🥇 Best of Central Oregon winners announced
📚 Central Library community celebration
🥧 Pie Maison pop-up
Let’s get to it.

Summer in Central Oregon is a stark reminder that our climate is changing. Smoke and wildfire season are part of our reality now, and while the problem is bigger than any one of us, small choices really do add up.
One easy place to start? Reusing what you already have. Every new item we buy requires new resources to create, so before your next purchase, take a look around the house. Glass jars in the cabinet, that stack of coffee mugs, containers you've been meaning to toss. What can you choose to reuse?

💫 Best of Central Oregon Winners Announced
The Source’s annual Best of Central Oregon winners were announced this week. Congrats to all the winners, and if your favorite place won, then they definitely deserved it. And if they didn’t win, who cares, cause its all just a popularity contest anyway!
🛏 Furnish Hope Looking for Volunteers
Some big news for families in need of home furnishings this week. The new owners of the Shilo Inn property have begun preparing the property for some upgrades and, as part of the process, have allowed Furnish Hope (a local non-profit that helps furnish the homes of those in need) to come in and take whatever furnishings they may find useful. So now, Furnish Hope is looking for volunteers who can come help move some furniture around. Interested in helping? You can find more info here.
The new Central Library has been open for a bit, and now they’re ready to party. On Saturday, they’re hosting a fun-filled community day with visits from the U.S. and Oregon poet laureates, food carts, balloon animals, maker space activities, and so much more. If you haven’t visited the new library yet, do yourself a favor and check it out!

They’ll be partying as only Luckey’s can, with a pig roast that is on a pay-what-you-can basis. Funds will be going to the Hold the Line Fund to support folks displaced by wildfires, along with firefighters and first responders out there doing the hard work. The party kicks off at 3 PM on Saturday and runs until 8 or so.
💆 Rise Modern Wellness new ownership celebration: Rise Modern Wellness is throwing a party to celebrate its new ownership. From 10 AM - 4 PM on Saturday, there will be food, music, prizes, and, if you’re looking to score a deal, $10 premium services like cryo, infrared sauna, PEMF, and more.
👖 REVOLVR grand opening party: And last, but certainly not least, in this weekend’s lineup of business celebrations around Bend, REVOLVR is opening their doors on Saturday for an all-day grand opening party with hot dogs, boozy slushies, special discounts, and more!
