🍻 Bend breweries take home the gold at GABF
As usual, Bend was well represented at the Great American Beer Fest over the weekend with many of our local beers medaling and one brewer taking home the Brewery of the Year award. Here’s a list of the local winners:

BUSINESS HAPPENINGS
🥡 Lao Teng opens at Bevel Brewing: Bevel Brewing is getting a new (to Bend) Thai food cart. Lao Teng Thai Kitchen is open now and serving up all your Thai favorites (including our favorite, Khao Mun Gai). They’re open Thursday - Monday for lunch and dinner ( 12 - 8 PM).
🛞 Les Schwab to add a 4th Bend location: Tired of waiting in hecka long lines to get your tires changed over for the winter? (More on that in a second.) Hopefully, this news helps a little. Les Schwab will be opening their 4th Bend location at SE 27th and Ferguson. There is no timeline yet for when the store will officially be open for business.
And speaking of seasonal tire changes, we’re only a month away (hopefully a little less, even) from when we usually start to see some real snow start to fall on the mountain. If you’re in the once it snows, I rush to get my winter tires put on camp, then this reminder isn’t for you. But if you want to save yourself a headache and having to subsist on a lunch of Les Schwab popcorn while waiting around all day for your new tires, you can make tire changeover reservations now at most of the big tire stores. I just checked, and there are still a lot of spots open from mid-November to mid-December.

TOGETHER WITH BALLET BEND

Fresh off performances in London at Sadler‘s Wells, two of the most innovative
and acclaimed international dance companies take the stage in Ballet Bend’s
next double bill on October 23rd & 24th at the Tower Theatre.
Montreal’s Tentacle Tribe in PRISM
&
Vancouver’s Rebecca Margolick in BUNKER
Montreal’s Tentacle Tribe bring their genre- and gravity-defying dance work,
PRISM to America for the very first time! Nobody in the world creates dance work
like this. 5 dancers moving and manipulating a giant mirrored set multiply
dimensions and bodies beyond the realms of this reality. A wonder of the world.
From one award-winning international artist to another - Rebecca shares her original
work BUNKER, that’s been performed in 13 different countries. Her commanding
presence and performance style completes Ballet Bend’s most uniquely powerful
program of the season!
