TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Bend! Break out those shorts and puffy’s as it’s looking like we’re about to get a weekend of quintessential Bend spring weather.

In today’s Bend Buzz:

  • 🍷 Sip & shop at First Friday

  • 🏳‍🌈 Winter Pride Fest comes to town & the mountain

  • Elk Lake Resort is closing for the season

Let’s get to it.

What Are the Chances My Home Will Sell This Spring?

When I talk with home sellers about what to expect once their home hits the market, there are four key questions we need to answer:

  1. How many other homes are currently on the market in our price range?

  2. How many more homes are likely to come on the market in that same range?

  3. How many homes should we expect to go under contract?

  4. And most importantly, how will we know if the market agrees with our price?

Today I wanted to share how I answer question number three.

After studying the Bend market for more than five years, one thing I’ve learned is that it can actually be fairly predictable, as long as you know how to look at the data.

If you're thinking about selling, or just curious what a typical spring market might look like, I’ve put together a free one-page guide that gives a better idea of what to expect between March and June across different price points.

If you're curious about how to best answer the other three questions, I'm more than happy to share that knowledge over a cup of coffee. Feel free to shoot me an email: [email protected]

Featured Opportunity: Perhaps you aren't interested in Bend at all and would love a house close to Lake Billy Chinook. If that's you, don't miss 8081 SW Paious Drive, a beautiful property located mere minutes from the lake.

🛍 First Friday - March Edition

We’re back with a (somewhat springy) edition of First Friday. As always, shops at the Old Mill and downtown Bend will be opening their doors for an evening of browsing, drinks, and small bites. The fun at the Old Mill happens from 3 - 6 PM, while downtown Bend keeps the party rolling from 5 - 8 PM. This is a great time to pick up a new piece of art or grab a few new pieces for your spring wardrobe.

🐲 White Lotus Lion Dancers Return to Bend

The White Lotus Lion Dancers are returning to Bend for a weekend of performances happening all across town. The festivities kick off on Saturday at 12:30 PM at Jia, followed by the main event at Tomi Mart at 2 PM. From there, you can also catch them at Sen Thai at 3:15, Pika Pika at 4, Chi at 4:30. They’ll be finishing up the weekend on Sunday at Dear Mom at noon and Pho 88 at 12:30.

🏳‍🌈 Winter Pride Fest Returns

Winter Pride Fest is coming to town (and the mountain) for a weekend of skiing, bingo, comedy, and more. You can check out the full lineup of events here, and we have highlighted a number of them in our weekend event lineup below.

BUSINESS HAPPENINGS

🍖 The Landing lands at Ponch’s Place: Ponch’s Place has added a new food truck to their lineup as The Landing will start serving up their menu of tasty BBQ starting today (Friday). They’ll be open for lunch and dinner (11 AM - 7 PM) Monday through Saturday.

🌲 Elk Lake Resort closing for the season: Our low snow year claims another victim (I can’t wait to stop writing that) as Elk Lake Resort announced that March 8th will be their last day for the winter season. But once the road is open, they’ll be back up and running for another summer of fun at the lake.

Little Cole Coffee Co relaunch: The east side of town (although I guess this would be more central) is getting a new coffee spot as Little Cole Coffee Co is setting up their cart at Somewhere That’s Green for the season. Swing by for some coffee or one of their other tasty beverages.
