🛶 Miller’s Landing Park reopens

Bend Park and Rec finished up their remodel of Miller’s Landing Park (minus a few fences still up to protect the grass), and it’s looking amazing! Gone is the old boardwalk, and in its place are brand-new water entry points and accessible kayak and SUP launches. We took a walk around the park and posted a first look on IG if you want to take a peek.

🏄️ One park opens and another may close

BPRD recently completed an assessment of the whitewater park and found that it needs a number of repairs after 10 years of hosting surfers, floaters, and a whole lot of water. Details on exactly what those repairs will look like aren’t yet finalized, and construction wouldn’t begin until the fall (so don’t fret, summer floaters). But once construction starts, the park (including the surf wave) will be closed for a good chunk of time.

Calling all local artists! The $20 art show is still months away, but if you want to have your art included in the show, now is the time to sign up! Spots fill FAST, so make sure to head to this website on July 1st at noon on the dot to get on the list! The art pieces must all be originals, and everything is sold for just $20. But(!) - you get to keep 100% of the proceeds.

They actually opened a couple of weeks ago, but asked to get their feet under them and the full menu up and running before spreading the word too far and wide.
