TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Bend!

In today’s Bend Buzz:

  • 🚵 Transit to Trails buses start

  • 🌯 Foodie news roundup

  • 🛒 New Trader Joe’s coming to the south side??

Let’s get to it.

— Derek Carlson & Emily Elaro

Curious about a breast augmentation, mommy makeover, or lip lift, but don't know where to start? These are Dr. Jourdan Carboy's specialties (in fact, she's the only plastic surgeon in Central Oregon who offers Motiva implants), and she's been breaking it all down on Instagram so you know exactly what to expect and what questions to ask at your initial consultation.

It's the same honest, no-pressure approach Alpenaura brings to every consultation, just available to browse on your own time.

📱 Follow @alpenauraplasticsurgery to check it out, then reach out when you're ready to talk.

🚵 Transit to Trails Buses Start

Pedaling uphill? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Catch the bus instead! The Transit to Trails season begins again today, and for the low price of just $10, you can hop the bus (with your bike) to your favorite trailhead and then cruise downhill back into town. Pickups happen 4x/day, Wednesday through Sunday, from the Bachelor park & ride, and stops include Cascade Lakes Welcome Station, Wanoga, Swampy, Dutchman, and West Village.

🍽 Last Call for Next Week’s Dinner Club

Want an excuse to get out and make some new friends? This month’s dinner club is happening on Wednesday, June 24th at 6 PM. All you have to do is fill out a quick survey, pay the reservation fee, and we’ll match you up at tables of six for a meal at a local restaurant. Afterwards, we’ll all meet up at a local watering hole to keep the conversation flowing. Sound like fun? You can sign up here →

🏪 Bend Getting a 2nd Trader Joe’s??

Folks who live on the south end of town may soon-ish (although no word on how soon-ish it will actually be) be in for a treat as Trader Joe’s is looking to take over the old Joann Fabric space at 3rd and Badger. No word on if they will be shrinking the parking lot to keep the true Trader Joe’s experience intact (kidding!).

BUSINESS HAPPENINGS

🌯 Food notes: I’m lumping together a few food updates into one section today.

  • Chonie’s Pizza has departed its location at Ballers & Brews. They will be reopening at the new BaseCamp food cart pod in a few weeks. In the meantime, you can get your pizza fix at their second cart at Van Henion Brewing.

  • Starting June 19th, Bend Breakfast Burrito will be opening a new cart for the summer at Roundabout Pub on Galveston Ave. You can also find them at their main shop on Division, The Commons Cafe, and at the downtown and NWX farmers markets.

  • Little Cole Coffee has moved their cart from Somewhere That’s Green to Dogwood at the Pineshed. If you haven’t tried their coffee yet, I highly recommend it!

  • It looks like Bend will be getting a new pie spot later this summer. I don’t want to spoil the surprise quite yet, although if you take a look at the jobs section at the bottom of this newsletter, you’ll get a pretty good hint.
