📦️ Costco moves to the north side

The new Costco location on the north side of town between highways 97 and 20 officially opens its doors on Saturday morning. Get there early, as there are already rumors that folks will be waiting in line overnight to get their hands on any free giveaways that may be in store (note that I have no inside information about potential giveaways…maybe those folks just really need more toilet paper.)

There is no word yet on what will replace the existing Costco, although when I asked on Instagram what you all would like to see there, the answers ranged from indoor sports courts to HomeGoods to Ikea to slightly less family-friendly ideas 😬. I vote that they clear the place out and let us ride bigwheels around the store for a week.

🖼️ $20 art show kicks off at the High Desert Museum

One of Bend’s biggest art events of the year, the $20 Art Show, kicks off today at the High Desert Museum. Unfortunately, for those lollygaggers among us (like myself), the Friday and Saturday extravaganzas are already sold out. But fear not, as the museum will be opening all the remaining art to the public at 11 AM on Saturday morning. So get there on time to pick from the best of the rest.
